Chopstick use is less in the United States, but there's still a growing problem in the United States in regards to waste as a result of chopstick use. American chopstick use causes two problems: depleted forests and a huge amount of waste. So, if you frequently eat food that requires chopsticks, you should make a small investment in reusable chopsticks.

You can even find reusable chopsticks that are made from recycled materials, like plastic, metal or reclaimed timber. You can also buy reusable chopsticks made from renewable materials, like bamboo.
