Bon Jovi is a thorough Jersey band which has enjoyed much popularity ever since it had been launched. The five 80's members are known for their musical interests and for their experiences. Bryan and Bon Jovi had played in a few other bands during the early years but the classic lineup for Bon Jovi did not come together till the year 1983 when the family connections of Bon Jovi helped him record his first demo. This demo later became the first super hit song of the band. The core lineup of the band soon signed a record contract with a major label.
The Members
Jon Bon Jovi, born as John Francis Bongiovi is the lead vocal artist, piano and guitar player of the band. Born in Perth Amboy in New Jersey, Bon Jovi is known to be one of the finest artists of all times. Richie Sambora for background vocals and lead guitar also born in Perth Amboy is the second member of the band, later replaced by Dave Sabo. David Bryan is for background vocals and keywords. Hugh McDonalds is for Bass while Tico Tornes is for background vocals and drums.
Mainstream Music and Commercial Concessions
Before the final version of the band Bon Jovi recorded its debut album, John Bongiovi changed his name to make it sound a little less ethnic. This move on the part of the artist gave him the new name of Jon Bon Jovi in an attempt to win the popularity and accessibility of a high level of diverse audience. In the year 1984, the album release of the band revealed the developing sound of the roots of Bon Jovi. However, the album was always remembered for the song, Runaway, which had been their first Top 40 hit and it set the stage for Bon Jovi for future pop success. Ever since their first concert, Bon Jovi tickets had always been coveted by the fans of the band. Bon Jovi tickets had been quickly sold off for all of their concert tours in the past.
The Initial Years
Bon Jovi himself had been the creative force behind the success of Runaway, the failure of the band when 7800 Fahrenheit was released in 1985 made him take a drastic step which had been much criticized then but was later thought to be genius. The band collaborated with Desmond Child, a songwriter and tested a few songs with heavy teen focus and released the album, Slippery When Wet in the year 1986. What followed next is all history and the pop band has been one of the most well known bands in the music industry.
The Phenomenon
During the 80s when hair metal groups had been all famous, the camera craving, photogenic and incredibly polished Jon Bon Jovi took the world by storm with his massive hits like Wanted Dead or Alive, Livin on a Prayer, You Give Love a Bad Name. The album quickly became a multi platinum hit. Even though their next album, New Jersey had not been as big a hit, fans were still loyal and the band went on for an 18 month tour around the world before taking a much needed break. Fans all over the world loved their music and their style.
One of the most impressive things about the band is that they kept up a consistent and graceful transition from the 80s to the 90s. Jon Bon Jovi's rock aesthetic did much to help the band avoid several pitfalls that had claimed quite a lot of other contemporaries from the big hair, spandex clad 80s days. Jon Bon Jovi went into the 90s quite gracefully, got his hair cut and came up with melodic ballads like Bed of Roses which helped the band stay successful and much loved over the years. Bon Jovi has been one of those few bands who have managed to keep their fans happy through decades. Jon Bovi is all set for a world wide concert tour series.
