How To Make A Banana Bread
When it comes to breads, almost everyone had probably eaten a variety of different flavors, kinds, and styles of breads. Among the most popular and most eaten type of bread today is banana bread. Since bananas are a widespread fruit crop in the entire world, they are more affordable, as well. Aside from their famous sweet taste, bananas are packed with good nutritional properties. They are rich in potassium, Vitamins A, C, E, and B6. They also have a high content of fiber, and best of all they are easy to eat. In search of banana bread preparation, one can encounter many different recipes. Some feature dried fruits like raisins, dates or blueberries, different types of nuts, chocolate or even peanut butter. But I usually recommend a plain banana bread recipe if you have never tried it previously. It's easy, simple to make yet flavorful and really delicious. If this is your first time to bake banana bread, try using a Zojirushi bread machine for a more convenient experience.
Here's a simple Banana Bread recipe that anyone can enjoy.
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups of all purpose flour
1 cup of sugar (white)
1 teaspoon of baking powder
teaspoon baking soda
teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 large eggs
1 cup melted butter
3 large bananas, mashed very well
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Procedure:
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or about 180 degrees Celsius. Grease and sprinkle some flour on to the loaf pan. Set aside. In a bowl stir all the dry ingredients; the sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon until they are well mixed.
In a separate large bowl, mix together the melted butter, mashed bananas, then the eggs and vanilla. Mix well until you have a smooth batter. Using a rubber spatula or spoon, carefully fold the batter to the dry ingredients. Stir until combined and the batter is thick. Do not over blend as this will result to hard and chewy bread. Pour in the batter to the baking pan. Put in the oven and bake until the bread is golden brown. One tip to make sure the bread is fully baked is to insert a knife into the loaf, if the knife comes out clean, the bread is done. Leave the bread to cool before removing it from the pan. You can either serve it warm or cool thoroughly to prevent it from crumbing. Serve the banana bread in thick slices on its own or spread with honey or butter. If you intend to serve it the following day, put it in the fridge to preserve flavor.
