Can I substitute a bread pan for a casserole pan?
I'm making polenta tomorrow night. It says to use a casserole dish but I don't have one. Can I bake it in a bread pan instead?
Depends on what you're trying to do. It sounds like you're cooking up the polenta per normal, then supposed to spread it into the casserole dish to bake. The shape and size of the pan will determine how thick the end product will be. If you have two or three loaf pans so that the thickness of the polenta will be the same, that will be okay.
