What to put over a collage to make it smooth and not come apart?
I like to cut out pictures from magazines and make a collage on the front of my notebooks for school or on my folders. But I find after they are in my bag and using them, the magazine pieces tend to come up, and then pieces get ripped, and it just doesn't stay. What can I use to put on top of it so they stay, or so it's smooth? Kind of like laminating it, but I don't know how and I don't want to spend much money at all.
You can get self adhesive laminating sheets. I use them all the time for the covers of my sketchbooks. (I like to put my own art work on the front). The brand I use is AVERY, they are about $10 for a pack of ten (a buck a sheet, not bad). They work really well and don't come off. my sketch books usually last a year, and even my old ones that I saved they are still on there nice and good. They don't yellow or anything and you can get them at wallmart, or any office supply store. They are basically big clear stickers! It's simple to put on and are plenty big enough for your notebooks and folders. I always keep some handy for personalizing things.
