What To Look For In Alkaline Water Ionizers
Alkaline water ionizers are more popular than every today. It means that there are literally thousands of models each offering different qualities. However, in order to completely remove all impurities, water needs to be converted from acidic to alkaline, which is when it is the healthiest for you. You can choose an appropriate model if you keep some criteria in mind when buying one.
Probably the most important thing to check when you buy a new ionizer is the warranty provided by the manufacturer. As good as a 15 year warranty for a product may sound; it is actually not the ideal thing. The best water ionizers such as the Tyent under the counter water ionizer line of models have a warranty of a lifetime, because they are of a very high quality.
Even if a company advertises a warranty of 10 or 20 years, be sure to read the fine print. Some of the manufacturers advertise only the warranty for the ionizer plates. All the other components have shorter warranties or in some dubious cases, no warranty at all. Always ensure that you read the complete warranty statement before buying a water ionizer.
Another important consideration should be the plates which do the primary job of ionizing your tap water. Find out from the specifications what these plates are actually made from. The highest and best quality plates made from titanium and further coated with pure platinum. The platinum coating is as important a factor as the titanium build for better durability.
A manufacturer may advertise his ionizer as being made from the highest quality titanium. This may sound impressive, but it isn't durable even it is expensive. Other may use an alloy of titanium and platinum, which again does not do the best job of purifying your tap water. The capacity of reduction is one of those factors which few people consider before buying an ionizer. Put simply, it is the amount of water that the ionizer can handle at a given time. Ideally, a model should be able to give you water as soon as you turn the faucet on. If, however, you are using it at home, where there are not many people, you don't need to buy the high capacity models.
Most people will first want to decide on how much they are willing to spend on an ionizer. Some very good products such as Tyent under the counter water ionizer can cost thousands of bucks, but they are likely to last your for life, hence you shouldn't hesitate spend more money on such models from any company.
Choosing an alkaline water ionizer should be a very deliberate process. It is not something you purchase every few years. The right model will give you highly ionized water which acts as an antioxidant and can help you get rid of many diseases such as arthritis and in some cases even cancer in the early stages.

Loved my ADDI bottle-less water cooler because it fit under my cabinets on the counter, but it died after 5 years.
The manufacturer ADDICO seems to be out of business.
How can I get this fixed if there are no replacement parts?
UK is selling them, but will my US power cord work their model?
Or is there another UNDER CABINET, COUNTER-TOP WATER COOLER out there?
UK current uses 220v @ 50 hz, US current is 120v @ 60hz. If the cooler uses a motor, it may not function properly. UK plugs are also shaped differently, you will need to replace the plug and possibly get an adapter.
