2011 Cricket World Cup
THe Cricket world Cup 2011 has been awaited by many of us. The fans of the cricket has fascen their seat belt to go to the amazing journy of the Cricket matches this year.
The date of the World cup is (19 February 2011 - 2 April 2011). The administration of the World Cup is the International Cricket Council and the cricket format will be One-Day International and the
Tournament format is the Round robin and Knockout. The world cup is being host by the India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. 49 countries are participating in this Tournament. The last Cricket world cup was arranged in 2007 and the next will be held on the 2015.
2011 Cricket World cup marks the 10th cricket world cup and the country
Bangladesh is first time co-hosting a World Cup. All the one day internaitional matches will be played over 50 overs. The World Cup 2011 will be played by 14 national cricket teams. Along with these there will be ten full members and four associate members. The first match played on te 19 February 2011 and it was o-hosts India and Bangladesh facing off at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.
The opening ceremony was held on 17 February 2011 at Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka, two days before the start of the tournament and with the final on 2 April 2011 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Pakistan was also expected to co- host the World Cup of 2011 but the cricketers attack 2009 in the Sri Lanka national cricket team in Lahore, the International Cricket Council (ICC) decided to strip Pakistan of its hosting rights. It was announced by the ICC on the 30 April 2006 which countries would host the 2011 World Cup.
The bid for the tournament was also done by the Australia and New Zealand but the The Trans–Tasman bid, Beyond Boundaries, was the only bid for 2011 delivered to ICC headquarters in Dubai ahead of the 1 March deadline. The ICC gives the hosting of the World Cup to major participating cricket played. The world cups have been hosted by England (Three times 1975,1979,1983), India/Pakistan 1987, Australia/New Zealand 1992, India/Pakistan/Sri Lanka 1996, England (UK,Netherlands) 1999, South Africa (Zimbabwe,Kenya) 2003, West Indies 2007. For the 2011 World Cup Australia/New Zealand were a strong contender ahead of India/Pakistan/Sri Lanka/Bangladesh because they had not hosted a World cup since 1992.
The format of the World cup 2011 is just like the format of the world Cup 2007, over which all the host countries decided to follow a revised format. The single difference between the 2007 and 2011 World Cup is the number of the national teams which in 2007 was 12 and this time it is 14 nation altogether. The first round of the tournament will be a round-robin in which the 14 teams are divided into 2 groups of 7 teams each. The 7 teams play each other once with the top 4 from each group qualifying for the quarter-finals. Every team is going to play 6 matches even being on ruled out of the game .
At the World cupt 2011,All 10 full members automatically qualify for the World Cup, including Zimbabwe who have given up their Test playing status until the standard of their team improves.The ICC also organised a qualifying tournament in South Africa to determine which Associate teams would participate in 2011 event. Ireland, who had been the best performing Associate nation since the last World Cup, won the tournament, beating Canada in the final. The Netherlands and Kenya also qualified by virtue of finishing third and fourth respectively. Total of 14 teams fullfilled the criteria of the selection.
So this was the basic and most fundamental details of the World cup 2011 and with the wish that may the best team win. And for sure the best team would be the one which would work hard and will give its best. Best wishes to all 14 teams participating in the tournament.

Breeding Betta fish.?
I need help! I have a male and a female and I want to breed them. Before I got them, I bought one of those little betta bowls, that came with a clear divider. I put the male on one side, and the female on the other. He's flaring his fins and the female just watches and swims around. Then he makes a huge bubble nest. Now I have all my materials for a breeding tank and its 10 gal. I also bought a divider. Once the fish were ready i put each one on the opposite side and the male flares his fins at the female and swims up to the top and starts blowing bubles. But that's the problem! The bubbles keep popping and i have real plants floating at the top. Every day i wake up and look at them and i see no bubble nest. .Ive even tryed the styrafoam cup but i dont have one i used a plastic cup (is that ok) and i cutt it in half. but still no bubbles and he , made one in the bowl why doesnt he make one in the tank? HELPP PLEASE
is there a filter in the 10 gal. ? i tried to breed bettas and wasn't sucessful. the filter was the problem for me. it would ruin the nest. try turning it off for 1-2 weeks, and the buble nest should be made. o and buy the way, you have to feed the bettas high quality foods , and you also should've done more research before you decide to breed bettas. you will need like 10 tanks, because the males will try and fight with each other. i just wouldn't reccomend breeding bettas.
