Should I work for vector marketing/cutco knives flat pay position ?
I'm a college student, today I stopped at an information table offering student work for the summer. I scheduled an interview with a company called Vector Marketing which sells the cutco knives. The position is flat pay (non-commission), 17$ an hour, no telemarketing or cold calling, and no door to door sales.
I've heard before that this company is basically a pyramid scheme, but only in regards to the door to door sales position (18$ a sale commission based) Should I take this position if I get it or is this company kind of a joke?
I had a interview scheduled with them last summer and something sounded weird about them. I looked up information and some of the information was saying you have to pay money to them first, like around $300.00. Also the company was located in my town and I went inside the office and there was a Woman who was the receptionist and a Man who I'm assuming was the person who hired people. It seemed like a scam to me and the "company" was out of our town within a month. I personally don't trust it but thats just my opinion.
