If you want to make your garden look even prettier and well defined opt for garden edging . It has many benefits and you can choose from a variety of edging options. It helps with all your weed problems, makes it easier to trim the plants and trees and is easy to maintain.
So what are your options if you’re looking at garden edging?
Cutting and trimming are the easiest ways to edge your garden. All you need is your shaping tool. You have to trim along the edges of the garden making sure to demarcate the flowers and plants from the grass area.
We then have natural edging. What does it mean? Natural edging is when you use real life plants or flowers to create your borders. These can include violas, pansies and gazanias.
Another way to border the garden is by placing stones and bricks. It is extremely simple and easy to do. You can also use herbs as natural edging material. You must remember that natural edging requires maintenance and is a lot of hard work.
You can also choose from a wide range of edging materials. Let’s start with plastic. Plastic edging is made from common food grade plastic polyethylene. Polyethylene is extremely durable and long lasting. You will find that plastic edging is not expensive at all and easy to install. It comes in many varieties and higher gradients of plastic. But remember, plastic edging needs to be installed properly to prevent cracks. If installed well the edging will last you for over a decade. Other than plastic edging you also have steel edging that is mostly used for commercial properties. It can be expensive than plastic edging and can rust in extreme weather conditions. But in all fairness it has more holding capacity than plastic edging.
Concrete edging has become very popular over the last few years. It is a permanent edging option and installation may take some time. But concrete garden edging is extremely effective as it keeps weeds away permanently, can be shaped to any desired look and is available in many colours and styles. You can make the edging look like bricks or even cobble stones. It is extremely long lasting and low maintenance.
Kerbing is another form of garden edging. There are three styles of kerbs. The first is the slant style which is very popular as it offers the widest range of texturing options. The second is the mower style which is designed to fit the lawn mower wheel. The third is the 6 X 4 which is set at the same level as the ground and makes other gardening activities fairly simple.

How can you take the sharp edge off of a piece of cut aluminum?
I got the hare-brained idea to make a dragon costume. The big detail about it is that I'm cutting the scales for it from aluminum cans. My question is there any way for me to take away the sharp edge of the scales so that I don't hurt anyone. Although, I want the scales to still be able to slide around as I move, and I still want them to have that metal 'clinking' sound, so attaching all the scales together and duct taping the scales are not options I'd like to use.
Any ideas?
Sandpaper smooths sharp edges nicely (wear old leather gloves while you're doing this to protect your hands) - just be sure to round any corners slightly instead of leaving them 'pointy'.
I understand you want the metallic sound, but be aware that a full metal dragon costume is going to be very heavy and probably very hot to wear, and you may not be able to wear it for very long.
