What do you think of this?
It's called A Winter Night (a poem that doesn't rhyme! lol)
Frozen ice crystals, packed together to form blankets of feather-soft snow,
A family sheltered in their home, warmed by a crackling fire and steaming hot chocolate that filled the room with its rich aroma,
I see siblings cuddling together, drowned in a sea of blankets and down,
The gleaming stars of the cool, silent sky reflected in the eyes of wanderers and dreamers,
Anticipation bubbles up in the spirits of children, waiting for the next day to finally arrive,
Parents are filled with a soft, gentle glow that simply the sight of their joyful youngsters brings,
Outside, I view a rainbow of lights wrapped around snow-covered trees,
And a simple wooden cross standing tall, representing the often-forgotten King.
Be honest and if you don't like it, please tell me what you don't like about it. Thanks!
Its not that I don't like it, I really don't think its poetry though. But what so I know I'm a biology major
I will say that you do have very good imagery
