Margaritaville DM3000 Review: a Terrific Frozen Drink Maker
The Margaritaville DM3000 Tahiti is the flagship of the Margaritaville line of frozen drink makers. Considerably larger and more featured than the other models in this range, it also comes at a considerably higher cost.
This shouldn't put you off though, as the DM3000 is a must-have if you have frequent parties or social gatherings where the availability of professional and delicious frozen cocktails is a must.
Let's look at the features of the Margaritaville DM3000 and see what sets it apart from the other models in this series.
Number of drinks
This model features no less than 6 automatic drink settings. These are pre-programmed settings which allows you to produce any of a variety of frozen drinks at the push of a button.
The beverages you can produce with these settings are: Mudslides, Daiquiris, Smoothies, Coladas, Mojitos and Margaritas.
Three Blending Jars
What makes the Margaritaville DM3000 a real party machine is the fact that it features three blending jars as opposed to the single jar of the cheaper models in the range. Each jar can hold 24 ounces of liquid.
Having three jars means that you can mix up to three different types of drinks on the fly without having to change the jar in between each drink. This is a huge time saver especially when you have a lot of guests with different requirements.
The jars are plastic, which is not a bad thing. In the heat of a party, accidents can easily happen and plastic is not a bad choice in this case.
Perfectly Shaven
The key to a frozen drink with perfect consistency is shaved ice. The DM3000, like the other Margaritaville models, does a great job of shaving ice to near perfection. This way you get really smoothly textured drinks without annoying chunks of ice in them.
Big Ice Hopper
The massive ice hopper on this model allows you to make up to six full jars of drinks on a single load of ice. This is just another way in which the Margaritaville DM3000 justifies its hefty price tag.
Entertainment
During a party you don't only want drinks, but also entertainment. Even in this respect the DM3000 can help you out. Watching this machine go about its business is almost as much fun as enjoying the cocktails it produces. It is a wonderful, entertaining party gadget.
In conclusion, this is an excellent frozen drink maker. It is expensive, but if you host large parties you will soon find the extra investment well worth it. Just found out I'm pregnant will I be OK?
I just took an at home pregnancy test and it came back positive! I'm really excited because my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant. However, We just got back from Vacation last week. At the time I did not know I was pregnant. I might have been 2 or 3 weeks at that point. WHile on vacation I rode several roller coasters and water slides and had a frozen drink at Margaritaville.
Will everything be OK or should I worry?
I am going to schedule a doctor's appointment in the morning.
