The changing culture & increasing demand of Fine Dine Restaurants in Pune

From Sula to Chardonnay skimming through the menu, I was looking out for a perfect drink for the more relaxed evening of the week. Looking around at the props on the wall and observing the ornamental decoration etc. Sipping on the finally decided martini and absorbing in the mood elevating trance. Soaking in the flavour filled ambience. The comfy sofas and the warm appeal of the wooden interiors. It is surely a fine experience but what kept me wondering is that how our experiences of eating out have been replaced with fine wine and dine and buffet lunch and dinner preferences.

With the rise in the nuclear families, the youth and the elevation in the purchasing power of the individual the eating out factor is well replaced with a wine and dine experience. Today people are no more sticking around with the tadka and makahanwala, or the cribbing waiter and the smoke filled surrounding, to neither people laughing with high pitch, nor do they want the old sofas and sometimes if you're quite unfortunate then you might just get handful of salt in your subji. Today the consumer is the king and we all know that. We are the ones with choices and we want more. We certainly wish to have more than just eating experience; the services, the classiness, the neat and formal way of serving and much more. In the past we had a limited menu of the tadka, paneer something, kebabs and tandoori's. Today the individual wants more. He wishes to get more out of each penny paid. If he wishes for Chinese he goes to authentic Chinese restaurant like Mainland China more popularly known as MC. If he wishes to have Italian then Squisito it is for him. For vegans they can go for little Italy.

Now-a-days the individuals want more of a formal experience  and also since the youth today has more purchasing power and economic freedom to spend they prefer the buffet lunch in Pune or dinner schemes like the one at  Indijoe with as reasonable as it could get just Rs 250/-  for two which includes soup, starters, main course and more. Same goes for Tangerine at Sagar Plaza which has quite attractive buffet lunch schemes and same goes for buffet dinners. Similarly the Hard Rock Cafe- Pune with International ambiance and cool music with sufficient portions of food. For the youth oriented places like The Hidden- the hangout place in Koregaon park- Pune  has the buffet lunch at Rs 499/- it is quite exciting menu which contains a beverage,  salad to lunch and to top it up you get unlimited draught beer, definitely it holds a great place in the heart of a beer fan. Also this place comes up with attractive buffet dinners clubbing them up with great events. Overall the restaurants in Pune have more to offer through the buffet schemes. Also the buffet dinners in Pune are fast gaining popularity as they keep you happy without burning a hole in your pocket.

Dinners are more of a formal event with respect to all kinds of demographics. We have Arthur's theme in Koregaon park- Pune that has authentic European cuisines, that is if you wish to go the English way. And you also have places like Baan Thai for complete Thai experience. Also we have the big hotels like Le Meridian or Taj Blue Diamond who have been arranging the food festivals for years. Today Pune is the city which is growing. It has opened itself to new cultural experiences and is welcoming all for a fine dining extravaganza.

What kind of paint will stay on glass?

I bought 2 cute martini glasses that sit on a ball rather than the normal stick stand. They looked like they were sitting on a christmas tree ornament to me, so I got them for a yankee grab gift. But when I got home, I realized that they both had scuff marks all over them, leave it to me not to check. They were the only 2 left in the store, so I can't go exchange them. So my question is, Can I paint over the existing paint on glass? It is just the ball part that is painted silver, almost like a chrome color. Any suggestions?
