Removing option from the OS choosing board?
Everytime when you start the pc the black menu board comes for choosing OS. The name of the operation system remains there even after it is uninstalled or updated. So any way to delete /remove those names of OS from that menu after uninstallation?
Here we go (please be careful...you can mess up your computer if this goes wrong!!!) By the way, this is for WinXP, but I'm almost positive that 98 and 2k work similarly:
1) Go to Start Menu.
2) Click "Run"
3) Type in "msconfig"
4) Click on the "BOOT.INI" tab.
5) See in the text box where it says "[operating systems]"? Well I'm pretty sure you can remove the ones you don't want from there. Good luck! (but no promises!) =D
