OVEN/MICROWAVE combo install..how much do they charge?
i need to install(remove, buy, install) a new microwave/oven combo..how much is it..about..i tried to look it up at macraes, but i didnt understand..and fixit-samurai wasnt online..help?? ALSO>>got a good store... installer...uhhh??hollywood CA
Jrw................Not that tough to do.........just looks scarey.......be sure you got your electrical breaker off and go to work.......pull the face screws out and get your dimensions...try to buy the new as close to the same size as the old.......you may have to cut a little out of the bottom or add to it.......just a matter of a new piece of wood and some stain and finish......a few finish nails a hammer and nail set. The electrical should be already made up and should be easy to match with existing wires..........just mark wires with tape and ink pen if it's something new to you. The new metal container the ovens set in should be about the same....just center it in the hole (sideways) and hold your top demensions the same....fill in the bottom....where it's not noticable and hook up the wires....you need a helper to handle the weight.....but really the rest isn't as tough as you might think..........besides....the wife gets to take you out for dinner........A guy really could make the project last for quite some time....if he works it right:) The cost is probably about 2 grand..........I've got to do the same thing soon....Good Luck!!
