Oven gloves, also known as oven mitts, are large, mitten-like hand coverings designed to protect the wearer from heat. They are a necessity when taking things out of the oven. Making your own oven mitts, whether you decide to make just one or a pair, is a sewing project that takes no longer than a single afternoon. The project doesn't require much sewing experience.
Oven gloves, in a resilient 100% cotton or Kevlar cotton material are equipped to protect against heat, steam, and in a material that is stain resistant to function inside the most stressful of kitchens. A paid of gloves with two mitts usually comes with adequate length in-between to place around the larger-sized pans.
Comfortable to hold oven gloves, pot holders, or oven mitts offer a perfect solution to carry scorching pot, pan, or similar cookware from a stove. A single or dual pair of oven gloves, constructed in a strong cotton material is superb to resist heat and steam, as well as being resistant to stains. A dual pairs of gloves (protection for both hands at once) usually comes with sufficient length connecting the mittens to wrap around the larger-sized pans, pots and trays.
