Javier Mascherano set for Barcelona after Liverpool agree to £12.3m plus Alexander Hleb deal - report

why do i have a lot of play on my steering wheel?
when i steer the left and right seems loose like it almost falls to to diretion i steer to. i know this is bad but how ccould i fix it at home? i read somewhere that theres a bolt on top of the steering coloum that prolly got loose but i dont know how to take off the plastic cover around the neck, im afraid the air bags might go off. anything i could do? plus.. i had a leak and i bout some leak stop and it fixed it but the liquid is all black and passed the recommended line, i over filled it cuz it had a leak and i dint think the leak stopper would work but it did, could having it over filled and having it all blakc cause this looseness? im driving a 92 mustang 2.3
First, get an oil change. That will solve the overfill problem and the dark problem at the same time. Any time your oil is dark, head for an oil change. That's dirt in your oil that can severely damage your rods and block over time.
Looseness in the steering wheel could be the locking nut in the wheel itself. Disable the airbag by removing the fuse or module - check an owner's manual or buy a repair manual to check which one. Be sure not to over-tighten the nut or your steering wheel will be too tight.
The other possibility is that your steering box is shot - worn teeth, worn gears, or even just low power steering fluid. Check the level of your PSF and top it up if necessary. Then check the steering box after.
