How To Get Rid Of Belly Fat Easy Chicken And Pasta Recipe
This tasty, quick and easy Chicken and Pasta recipe uses multi grain pasta which contains lots more fiber than the ordinary varieties. This recipe is ideal for people who want to know how to get rid of belly fat as it incorporates foods that are rich in nutrients to make a tasty, filling and nutritious meal with foods that burn belly fat and without getting too many empty carbohydrates.
This recipe will serve 4 people and the approximate nutrition levels per portion are:-
- Calories - 380
- Fiber - 12 grams
- Protein - 38 grams
- Carbohydrates - 40 grams
- Fats - 9 grams
Ingredients
- 8 ounces of Multi-Grain Pasta - (Multigrain with flax seeds - try Trader Joe's)
- 2 organic or free-range chicken breast pieces - boneless and skinless
- 1/2 pint of Passata - sieved tomato juice
- 12 ounces of frozen peas
- 24 ounces of frozen broccoli
- 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of dried Italian herb mix
- 1 handful of fresh basil leaves
Method
Your chicken breast pieces can be cooked in advance to save time if required. I normally either poach them in water or pan fry them in a little extra virgin olive oil.
Take a large pan and fill it half full with boiling water. Place it on a high heat to bring the water back to the boil and then add the dried multigrain pasta. Reduce the heat to stop it boiling over and cook the pasta for 5 minutes.
After that 5 minutes, add the frozen peas and the frozen broccoli and bring back to the boil for another 4 to 5 minutes.
Dice or shred the chicken and add it to the saucepan. After 2 minutes more cooking time, drain off everything into a colander.
Put the pan back on the heat and pour in the Passata and add the Italian herbs and the tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. Heat through for a minute and then add the pasta, chicken and vegetables into the pan.
Stir everything together to get a good coating of the tomato sauce onto everything and serve up immediately. Decorate with freshly torn basil leaves. Discovering the best way to lose belly fat does not mean that you have to do without tasty meals.

How do you strain your chicken stock?
I wish I had a fine mesh sieve or chinois, but I don't...
I have a regular colander with little holes, like for pasta.
I was thinking about lining it with a wet dishtowel and straining through that. I have two chicken carcasses in the pot and some of the spine bones have come apart and I don't want tiny bones in my soup. I'm worried though that the towel might absorb some of the flavour.
