Having Fun Making Soap
Recently I came across a very old book in the attic titles "Hobbies for Profit". Come to think of it pursuing your hobbies might in fact have a commercial value to it and may be an excellent home business idea. Among all the various hobbies that were mentioned there soap making seems to be an excellent hobby. Come to think of it soap making as a hobby gives you the advantage of using the product of your hobby yourself as compared to collecting stamps or toy models. Making soap is an interesting hobby that will give you an opportunity to blend various oils and fragrances that can knock any one off their feet. And if you make a good quantity of them you can also give them off as gift to your friends or better still sell it off in malls to generate a good amount of revenue.
Making soap isn't that difficult. A simple search on web will return thousands of easy soap making recipes and ingredients that you may use. However, before you get started, just like any activities, you should know all the materials that you will need as well as safety measures you need to undertake. Some of the materials used for making soap are toxic and corrosive for example lye and essential product in soap making is corrosive to skin but can easily be neutralized with vinegar. So before you start off making soaps remember to take the following safety measures.
Use a room that is isolated or not used for any other purpose: Using your garage or basement or attic is a good idea since these rooms are not frequently used all materials you store are not likely to be touched or removed by anyone. However, you will need to ensure that the room is well ventilated since soap making can give off fumes that may be uncomfortable to you.
Keep children away: Chemicals of any kind is not a toy and needs to be treated with care. Make sure that your soap making supplies are well out of reach of children and cannot be accessed by them altogether.
Wear gloves and apron: At all times wear gloves and apron while making soap. This will protect you from any spills. Also it is a good idea to cover your table with newspaper and have a bottle of vinegar and water at hand only for cleaning purpose.
Adequate light: Most importantly keep the room while working well light. Do not hesitate to add more lights if you feel that you are having even little difficulty seeing. Nothing can compare to a well lit room since it will enable you to see what you are doing clearly.
Once all these safety measures are taken your step towards making soap is half complete. You will now need to find a good recipe for making soap, get the required supplies and start making soaps. You do not need to be a net savvy to google for a soap recipe you may like. Instead of starting with the very first recipe you get your hands on do a little research to find out which recipe sooths you the most. Take a print out of all the recipes you like, this will help you create your own reference book when needed.
Once your recipe is set try to get online suppliers for your raw materials. You may alternatively use your local market but I prefer online suppliers. Since online suppliers do not have to maintain a showroom and most of them operate only through their warehouse prices of raw materials is reasonable small. Remember a hobby means that something that you will do in your free time so if you have to visit a mall to buy the raw materials and bring them home to me it's too time consuming. Online stores usually also provide delivery assistance meaning that your supplies will be shipped to your door steps.
How to make soap interesting is easy if you order some fabricated molds. These will give your soap different shapes and will attract the customers better. You will find a good number of recipes where they tell you to use less oil and fragrances. Tell me what good it is using less if people cannot get the fragrance you are using. Do not go less. Use what you feel is fit and what you think will make your soap stand out.
You can use the extra time that you saved from shopping online to try to find a market for your soap. You should start with the local malls or grocery store where you frequently shop. Tell them that you took up this hobby and would appreciate their assistance to sell off the soaps. Once you have produced you might as well present one to the owner of the store to pamper him with the quality of product that you are offering.

Is there anyway to get oil paint out of clothes?
I was in painting. I took off my apron to put the bucket I keep my supplies in away and it had paint on it and it got got on my shirt.
I forgot I had painting today or I wouldn't of worn that shirt.
I tried putting terp on it and washing it with water and soap
I know water can't get it out, but is there anything that can. It was a few hours ago, but I think it's still kind of wet.
Can I put anything on it or take it somewhere, or do I just have a new shirt to paint in?
Lacquer thinner
TEST FIRST
Test a small amount of lacquer thinner on an area of the shirt that won't be seen. Let the lacquer thinner stay in contact with the shirt for several minutes. If the material does not dissolve in the lacquer thinner then you can probably get the paint out by using lacquer thinner on the paint.
Be sure to do the test first. Lacquer thinner is a powerful solvent and synthetic materials used in clothing may be dissolved by it. Natural fibers should be OK.
