Effective Time-Outs?
My 2.3 year old just got his first time-out ever - 2 minutes. We'd had to remind him not to hit the cat a couple times a day - today I've already reminded 3 times, so I decided it was time for time out. It went well. We set the timer, he got up once, but I put him back in. He finished his time there crying a little bit. We talked about it afterward - why it's important he does not hit the cat.
