Drain and Cook Using a Colander Only

Is it ok to re-heat leftover rice?
So I cooked some rice about a week ago, and the leftovers have stayed stored in a tupperware container in the fridge for about a week now. Is it safe to re-heat it in the microwave and eat it?

Yes, as long as it's just plain rice, it should be fine (but probably not for much longer). Go by the smell & look of it. If it smells kind of sour or something, toss it. If you added anything to it (like meat, dairy, eggs. --Herbs & seasonings would be fine.), or maybe cooked it in meat broth instead of plain water, then be a little more leery.
