Recipe For Pizza
How to make pizza?Here we describe the simplest way to make pizza
Body: The first thing you will need to do is make the crust. Start by preheating your oven to 400 degrees. In a medium size mixing bowl mix two cups of all purpose flour and one tablespoon sugar. You can do this by hand or with a hand mixer. Add, three teaspoons baking powder and one teaspoon salt and blend well. Once it is mixed add one half cup shortening. Always make so your shortening is room temperature so that it mixes easier. Then add three quarter cup milk and mix well.
To bake pizza,You will need to bake your dough on a large cookie sheet. Spray the sheet well cooking spray then press the dough onto it with your fingertips. Spread it evenly until the entire tray is covered. Bake the crust for 10 minutes. You will need to completely cool the crust before adding the second layer.
To make your pizza easier to take along and store, once the crust is cool transfer it to a Tupperware or other container with a lid and add the second and third layer in there. If you have a large event coming up you can make the crust and also the second layer ahead of time and simply refrigerate until ready to use. The crust can easily be frozen.
To make the second layer of the pizza, take two eight ounce packages of cream cheese and mix well with one package of original ranch dressing mix. Make sure to use the powder kind. When these two are blended add one cup of mayonnaise or salad dressing to it and mix together. Spread this mixture evenly onto your crust and set aside.
For the third layer, chop up your favorite vegetables and spread evenly onto the pizza. My favorites are radishes, celery, carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower. However, you can use whatever you like. Then as a final touch add a layer of shredded cheese to the top.
Cut the pizza into small squares and serve to your guests.

How To Make Pizza Dough
Strong white flour is best (in some countries this flour is marked as bread flour). Although plain flour can be used as well, it does not have the same high gluten content and therefore the finished pizza dough will not be as stretchy. Pay attention to the kneading process: it eliminates excess gas produced by the yeast and quite literally knocks the air out of the pizza dough. Many people find the action of kneading the dough very therapeutic and chefs are often asked how you can tell when the dough is kneaded sufficiently. The answer is: you can feel it in your hands (practice makes perfect).
Pizza dough keeps in the refrigerator for several days and frozen pizza dough can be kept for several months. I always have frozen pizza dough in the freezer for emergencies, and I find that if it is frozen in pieces the size of golf balls then it is defrosted in ten minutes.
When you come to baking your pizza dough, the chances are that you are using a conventional oven rather than one fired from the volcanic rocks of Vesuvius. The baking time is always intense and short and the temperature should be 220°C or 425°F. The pizza dough should always be placed on the upper shelves, and whilst you can cook more than one pizza base at once, they should never be placed at less than the middle. This is because heat rises and you cannot get the best heat at the bottom of an oven.
The science of pizza sauce recipes is unfortunately subject to as many variables as finding the best pizza dough recipe. Making homemade pizzas of the quality served in pizzerias is possible, but you need to do a little experimenting to adapt recipes to your taste. No pizza sauce recipe is written in stone, use your imagination. Pizza sauces should be fun and are the perfect food to experiment with.

Holiday party table decor?
I am having a holiday party and the table will be set buffet style but elegant. The flowers will be long pine branches with magnolia leaves and white roses. The dishes are ornate embossed glass with gilded gold and plum and aqua colors.
I would like to put some kind of cloth on the table to cover up the different levels that I will be creating but velvet is not only expensive but doesn't seem practical. Any suggestions on what I can do instead? Something to cover up the (tupperware or whatever) things that I will be using as levels.
I was thinking of throwing some flower petals and mirror squares on the cloth too.

I think you're on the right track with the fabric, but it doesn't have to be velvet. go to your local fabric store and check out all they have. I would suggest a taffeta (it has a sheen, drapes nicely, and is used mostly for linings in coats or as dress fabric)
ask the clerk to give you swatches of the colors you might be interested in, and take them home to compare with your dishes. go with two or three colors to add interest.
